When The Force Awakens was announced some of us were wodering, what about a spaceballs sequel?, well, it could possibly be happening as time comedic genius Mel Brooks confirmed that a sequel is underway.

The movie is still in early phases of development, and now that Star Wars franchise came back, is good to know that they will parody it.

The possible title of the movie could be Spaceballs: The Search For More Money as said in the first movie, but a cool title could also be THE SCHWARTZ AWAKENS that parodies episode seven title.

Brooks said that he would only do a sequel if the original cast was on it, he talked about Rick Moranis as Dark Helmet:

“I’ve got the helmet in storage, just waiting for him. [Laughs] It’ll fit nobody else. Rick is five-five-and-a-half. It’s a perfect fit for the big helmet.”

But, not all the original cast would be involved, as some of them are no longer with us like John Candy, Joan Rivers, etc. The only original cast members would be Rick Moranis, Daphne Zuniga, and Bill Pullman.

Hopefully we can get to see this sequel of one of the most famous Star Wars parodies ever.
