We are on awards season, Golden Globes, Grammys, and The Oscars, but who is most likely to win best actor?, well the nominees of The Oscar for best actor are Bryan Cranston for Trumbo, Matt Damon for The Martian, Leonardo DiCaprio for The Revenant, Michael Fassbender for Steve Jobs, and Eddie Redmayne for The Danish Girl. The favorites are Leonardo DiCaprio and Eddie Redmayne, but, who's more likely to win?, many people bet for Leonardo DiCaprio but we'll give you some reasons of why could Redmayne take away the Oscar from him:

·.- The 87% of people that conform The Academy are older people to 63 years, accustomed to voting for films with historical performances or that many called "Oscar bait." Several journalists and film critics says The Danish Girl is the movie that this year brings all these components that are most likely to win the oscar.

· The Academy loves to reward minorities, so that films with themes of racial struggle, Jewish struggles or from the homosexual community always have that moving seasoning. The Danish Girl is about the first men that applied himself a sex change operation.

· The performances that involve drastic physical changes always manages to earn Academy favoritism, and Eddie Redmayne makes perfectly.

· If the character embodies an unusual drama with social barriers difficult to endure with and manage to change paradigms of sociological stigma, as the character of Redmayne, the Academy applauds and rewards it.

· If the film is a biopic (based on real life), this greatly increases the chances of taking home several statuettes.

· The transgender issue has gained much press attention and has been present in social discussions last year, so that the Academy would have a perfect excuse to show themselves current and modern.

· The director of The Danish Girl, Tom Hooper, also directed The King's Speech, a film that taked away the Oscar from the hands to the social network in the ceremony of 2011, what many have said it is a "favorite" of the Academy members.

· The Academy has always preferred to reward performance with different shades of action, such as Eddie Redmayne, that one in which physical pain is expressed, such as Leonardo DiCaprio. Although specialists give their reasons, will have to wait until next February 28, when we are all tuned to the envelope containing the name of "Best Actor".

So, what do you think?, is Redmayne performance stronger than DiCaprio's?, well, we'll have to wait until February 28, Thanks for reading.
